The Troop 1G Wiki and Identity Service is a private service used to support troop activities, communication, and access to troop resources. We try to collect and retain only the information reasonably necessary to operate the service.

Information We Collect

We may maintain basic account information such as your name, email address, account identifier, and information needed to authenticate your account.

The wiki may also contain information contributed by troop members and leaders. Users should avoid entering sensitive personal information unless it is reasonably necessary for a troop activity.

We maintain limited technical and security information necessary to operate and protect the service, such as login activity, timestamps, IP addresses, and server logs.

We do not sell personal information.

We do not use personal information for advertising or marketing.

We do not use advertising networks, behavioral tracking, or third-party usage analytics.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Error Reporting and Operational Monitoring

We use Honeybadger to identify software errors, troubleshoot problems, and monitor the operation and reliability of the service.

Honeybadger may receive limited technical information such as software errors, page or request paths, request timing and status, browser or application information, and technical events occurring around an error. We may also record limited operational events to help diagnose and maintain the service.

We configure this monitoring to minimize personal information and do not intentionally send passwords, authentication credentials, form contents, message contents, or other sensitive information to Honeybadger.

We do not use Honeybadger or other third-party services for advertising, behavioral profiling, or marketing analytics.

Service Providers

We use a small number of service providers to operate the service, such as infrastructure hosting, email delivery, and error reporting providers. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide those services.

We do not provide troop member information to third parties for advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.

Youth Members

The service is intended for members of the troop community, including youth members.

We seek to collect only the minimum personal information reasonably necessary to provide the service. A parent or guardian may contact us to ask what personal information associated with their child is maintained by the service, request corrections, or request deletion of information that is no longer necessary.

Some material contributed to shared wiki pages may remain as part of the wiki's revision or administrative history even after an individual account is closed. We will remove personal information from those records when reasonably practical and appropriate.

Retention

Account and operational information is retained only for as long as it is reasonably necessary to operate the service, protect its security, maintain appropriate troop records, or satisfy applicable requirements.

Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymized where reasonably practical.

Security

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards appropriate for a small private troop service. Access to the service is restricted to authorized users, communications are encrypted in transit, and authentication credentials are protected using appropriate security controls.

No Internet service can guarantee absolute security.
